Horse Behavior and Training Course - Class held at BOCES Cortland
Thinking of getting a new horse? Wish you had a better relationship with your horse? Even if you are
experienced and are interested in learning the latest training techniques…this course is for you!
Join us for an enlightening, fun and interactive learning experience that will benefit horse enthusiasts and
trainers alike. Discover how to communicate with your horse in a clear, motivating way that will
enhance your relationship on the ground as well as in the saddle! Topics include: deciphering horse
body language, understanding how horses learn, an analysis of common training methods in use today,
overview of horse professionals and how they can help you achieve success with your horse.
Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and experiences to class for the Q&A session of
class. A $15 fee is payable to instructor at first session for course materials including class handouts
and foundation training plan workbook.
Includes 2 – 2 hour sessions: First one at BOCES and second one TBD (possibly on site at a stable)
for hands on learning experiences.
