out more from Pat below.

I recently retired after teaching for twenty-three years and am
looking forward to transferring teaching skills to my new
hobby.  The hobby being a little jack russell terrier that I was
lucky enough to relieve my nephew of.   Audrey is nine
months old and I have had her for four of those months.  She
was not fully house trained when I got her so that is the first
trick we worked on.  She walks nicely on a loose leash and
can sit, go into the down position, rollover, and stay for short
periods of time.

Fortunately, I can put a lot of time into training and am looking
forward to working with other dogs.  I met Connie Dwyer
through classes, and have found working with dogs to be so
much fun.  I am very interested in dogs and want to share my
interest with others.  Life with Audrey has become much
calmer after training.  She is very energetic, but has a great
disposition.

I have found that there were not many training options in the
Cortland area.  Training in this area will enable me to practice
what I have learned and to help other dog owners train their
dogs.  Training has helped me understand dog behaviors and
body language.  I can also appreciate having  a dog that
comes when called.  I am really looking forward to teaching in
a whole other area.
